Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC/R Senior Start-Up/Service Technician will be responsible for the start-up, service, and commissioning of complex HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and at least ten years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service.
Location
Orange County, CA. Local candidates are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform start-up and commissioning of large commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and cooling towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct performance tests and adjust system settings to optimize efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and services.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure timely and quality execution of projects.
- Train and mentor junior technicians.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration start-up and service.
- Must be proficient in servicing large RTUs, chillers, boilers, VRFs, and cooling towers.
- Must hold a valid EPA Universal Certification.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
