Job Summary: As a Commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal Technician (Mid-Level), you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication projects. You will have at least four years of experience in the industry and possess a strong understanding of HVAC systems and sheet metal work. You will be responsible for working both independently and as part of a team to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems and equipment according to project specifications and industry best practices
Measure, cut, bend, and fabricate sheet metal components for ductwork and other installations
Assemble and install ductwork using proper tools and techniques
Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues, recommending appropriate solutions
Ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and standards
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Communicate professionally with customers, providing excellent customer service and addressing concerns as needed
Mentor and train apprentices and junior technicians
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal work
In-depth understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC and sheet metal fabrication
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks that require manual dexterity
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
EPA Section 608 certification
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Preferred Qualifications:
HVAC or sheet metal trade school certification
NATE certification or willingness to obtain
