Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, repair, and remove insulation on commercial mechanical systems, pipes, ductwork, and other mechanical systems to reduce energy costs and protect systems from external elements.
  2. Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand the requirements of a project.
  3. Determine the type and thickness of insulation to be used based on the specific application and project requirements.
  4. Use hand and power tools to measure and cut insulation materials to the required dimensions.
  5. Apply sealants or adhesives to help secure insulation in place.
  6. Ensure all installations follow local, state, and federal regulations.
  7. Inspect and test insulation for defects or breaches to ensure optimum efficiency.
  8. Collaborate with project managers, other tradespeople, and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be local to Jacksonville, NC.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial mechanical/piping insulation.
  3. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
  4. Familiarity with various insulation materials and application techniques.
  5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  6. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  7. A stable work history, demonstrating consistency and reliability.
