Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings related to commercial pipe installations.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes according to specifications or requirements.
- Install and maintain piping systems in commercial buildings, ensuring adherence to all building codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance of piping systems as required.
- Ensure a safe working environment, following all company safety protocols and regulations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentice pipefitters, imparting best practices and skills.
- Attend meetings, provide progress reports, and actively participate in project planning and development.
Requirements:
- Must be local to Jacksonville, NC.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Pipefitter in commercial settings.
- Valid Journeyman Pipefitter certification.
- Proven experience working on large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated stable work history, showing reliability and dedication.
- Proficient knowledge of tools, materials, and methods used in the pipefitting trade.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
