Responsibilities:
Lead the preconstruction process for commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to develop comprehensive designs and engineering solutions.
Estimate project costs accurately, taking into account materials, labor, and other factors.
Conduct value engineering to optimize system performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
Present and negotiate project proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and company offerings.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and local market conditions to ensure a competitive edge.
Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance sales, estimating, and engineering skills.
Maintain a stable work history and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Proven experience in sales, estimating, design, engineering, and value engineering within the commercial plumbing and HVAC industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and oversee preconstruction efforts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
Proficient in using software tools for project estimation, scheduling, design, and documentation.
Must be local to Orange County, CA, or willing to relocate.
