Job Title: Commercial Refrigeration Technician
Overview: Seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to carry out routine maintenance, diagnosis, and repair activities on various refrigeration systems and temperature-controlled units primarily used in the food retail industry. This role demands technical proficiency in handling complex refrigeration, heating, and air-conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.
- Efficiently diagnose and fix issues with refrigeration racks or single-unit systems, including leak repairs, component replacements, and system installations under guidance.
- Fabricate and install necessary supports and piping, ensuring all work complies with industry standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks accurately.
- Manage and document service tickets and project details in a professional manner, ensuring all communications are clear and timely.
- Maintain a well-organized and stocked service vehicle, adhering to all maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
- Foster strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and effectively communicating technical information.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of field experience or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.
- Demonstrable skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and understanding of basic electrical principles.
- Proficiency in handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials safely.
Preferred:
- HVAC-R Technical School Degree.
- Experience with specific refrigeration brands and models is advantageous.
