Overview: We are currently seeking a talented Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team in Astoria, OR. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diverse refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.
- Accurately diagnose and resolve problems with refrigeration racks or single-unit systems, including performing leak repairs, component replacements, and overseeing new system installations.
- Construct and install necessary supports and piping in compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for precise repairs and maintenance activities.
- Efficiently manage and document service tickets and project details, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Maintain a well-organized and adequately stocked service vehicle, adhering to maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and effectively communicating technical details.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 5 years of field experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.
- Proven skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Knowledgeable in electrical schematics and basic electrical principles.
- Skilled in the safe handling of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
- Must be a local resident of Astoria, OR, or willing to relocate, with a stable and consistent work history.
Preferred:
- HVAC-R Technical School Degree.
- Experience with specific brands and models of refrigeration systems.
