Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and local Controls Sales Engineer to join our team in Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate should bring over 8 years of expertise in building automation controls sales and estimating. Familiarity with installation, service, start-up, and programming of building automation projects in diverse commercial environments, including hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and labs, is essential. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred, and candidates with Tridium, Niagara, or N4 certifications will receive special consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales efforts for building automation controls projects within the Riverside region, targeting diverse commercial clients.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide tailored automation solutions.
- Prepare accurate project estimates, proposals, and quotations for potential clients.
- Promote building automation solutions and services, establishing strong client relationships.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, providing clients with innovative solutions.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure seamless handover of projects, maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams on control system installation, service, start-up, and programming.
Qualifications:
- A local professional with over 8 years of experience in building automation controls sales and estimating.
- Strong knowledge of installation, service, start-up, and programming of building automation systems in commercial environments, including hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and labs.
- A Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Possession of Tridium, Niagara, or N4 certifications is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to provide guidance on control systems.
