Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Service Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be a local professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in building automation controls. Proficiency in installation, service, start-up, and programming of building automation projects in diverse commercial settings, including hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and labs, is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and certifications in Tridium, Niagara, and N4.

Responsibilities:
  • Controls System Service: Perform installation, service, and start-up activities for building automation control systems in commercial buildings.
  • Programming: Utilize expertise in programming to ensure the efficient operation of building automation projects.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
  • Client Interaction: Interface with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to service activities, including reports, logs, and system documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Certifications: Maintain and update certifications, including Tridium Niagara, and N4, as required.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building automation controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience in installation, service, start-up, and programming of building automation systems.
  • Certifications in Tridium Niagara, and N4 (preferred).
  • Familiarity with commercial settings such as hospitals, schools, airports, universities, and labs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Local candidate with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
