Job Title: Energy Efficiency Engineer

Overview:
This role focuses on enhancing the energy efficiency and performance of buildings through innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of analytical prowess, technical expertise, and a passion for sustainable building practices to tackle various energy and performance projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize control sequences for high-performance buildings.
  • Conduct field commissioning and monitoring-based commissioning.
  • Analyze building and utility data to identify energy-saving opportunities.
  • Perform energy assessments, audits, and EnergyStar certifications.
  • Support energy project development with measurement and verification activities.
  • Deploy and analyze fault detection software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with ASHRAE energy calculations and building mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in computer programming and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as CEM or PE, or the ability to obtain.
  • Knowledge of DDC Control theory, energy management practices, and renewable energy systems.
