Job Summary:

We're on the lookout for an Energy Services Account Manager with a solid background in sales and account management to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role is perfect for someone knowledgeable about energy-efficient technologies in commercial building systems or residential homes. The ideal candidate will excel in recruiting and engaging key stakeholders, especially within distributor and retailer supply chains, and work closely with a team of energy efficiency experts to achieve program participation goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in the energy sector, including distributors, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers, to support program participation.
  • Engage new trade allies and professional organizations to enhance program visibility and adoption.
  • Provide exceptional ongoing communication with program participants to gauge needs and gather feedback.
  • Conduct targeted presentations and promote program participation at industry events, trade shows, and through direct sales initiatives.
  • Support the program manager in developing promotional strategies and implementing marketing plans.
  • Manage a pipeline of new and existing customers, ensuring steady progress towards participation goals.
  • Contribute to internal operations with tasks like data analysis, reporting, application review, forecasting, and quality control.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Energy, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales and/or business development within the industry.
  • Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle for local travel (30% to 50% of the time; mileage reimbursement provided).

Preferred Skills:
  • Over 5 years of industry outside sales and/or business development experience.
  • Experience in HVAC, lighting, or water heating equipment supply chains.
  • Proven track record in managing successful energy efficiency projects, particularly in HVAC, real estate, government, or retail sectors.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis.
