Job Summary: As an HVAC Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of commercial HVAC projects. You will be responsible for designing and engineering HVAC systems that meet our clients' needs while adhering to industry codes and standards. Your expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and knowledge of local regulations will be essential to your success in this role. A stable work history is required, demonstrating your ability to contribute to the long-term success of our company and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design commercial HVAC systems, ensuring they meet client requirements, industry codes, and standards
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to create detailed and accurate drawings, schematics, and models
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met and projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and energy analysis
  • Review and analyze project proposals, specifications, and design criteria
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, addressing concerns and providing technical support as needed
  • Stay current on industry trends, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance with local requirements
  • Participate in continuous professional development to expand knowledge and skills in the HVAC design and engineering field

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC design and engineering
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software
  • Strong understanding of local and industry codes, regulations, and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Stable work history, demonstrating commitment and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • LEED Accredited Professional (AP) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with energy modeling software
