Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our dynamic team in Orange County. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HVAC estimating experience in large-scale commercial projects, with project sizes ranging from $5 million to $50 million in labor and materials. They will have a background in various sectors including hospitals, labs, data centers, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems on large-scale commercial projects.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other related documents to ensure accurate estimates.
- Utilize Trimble AutoBid software to create and manage estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather information and resolve issues.
- Maintain updated knowledge on market prices for materials and labor.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary data for estimates.
- Develop and present estimate reports to project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure all estimates meet company standards, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HVAC estimator in the commercial sector.
- Proven experience with large projects ($5 million to $50 million in labor and materials).
- Proficient in the use of Trimble AutoBid.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and labor costs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be based in Orange County, CA.
- Stable work history demonstrating reliability and dedication.
