We are looking for an experienced Commercial/Industrial HVAC-piping superintendent to oversee large-scale projects and crews to meet the growing demand for our services.

Position Summary

The Commercial/Industrial HVAC-Piping Superintendent will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of HVAC and piping projects. This includes directing field personnel, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety standards, and guaranteeing the highest quality of workmanship. The role requires advanced knowledge of HVAC and piping systems and a proven ability to manage large crews and projects.

Location

Norfolk, VA. Local candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all phases of HVAC and piping projects from planning to completion.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of crew members and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conduct daily huddles and safety briefings to review work plans and identify potential hazards.
  • Review project plans and blueprints to determine staffing, material, and equipment needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project goals are on time and within budget.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, inspections, and reports.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in overseeing large HVAC and piping projects, preferably in both commercial and industrial settings.
  • Proven ability to manage large crews and work well with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, including troubleshooting and quality assurance.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • A stable work history is essential.
  • Local candidates will be given priority consideration.
  • OSHA certifications are a plus.
