Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC-Plumbing Preconstruction Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and a minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing design, engineering, estimating, and sales. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and presenting mechanical design and strategy to general contractors and building owners for upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the preconstruction team to develop mechanical design concepts and strategies for HVAC and plumbing systems in upcoming projects.
- Present innovative and cost-effective mechanical solutions to general contractors, building owners, and project stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on mechanical system design, sizing, and layout to optimize project efficiency.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and energy-efficient solutions to enhance project designs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to support project development and execution.
- Oversee the preconstruction process from initial concept through budget development to final presentation.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is essential.
- A minimum of 8 years of combined experience in HVAC and Plumbing design, engineering, estimating, and sales.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to conceptualize and present innovative design solutions.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to engage with clients, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in mechanical system optimization for energy efficiency.
- Dedication to delivering high-quality work and competitive project estimates.
