A sheet metal fabrication manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sheet metal fabrication process, from design to production. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials science.

The primary responsibilities of a sheet metal fabrication manager include:

  1. Leading and managing a team of fabricators and technicians to ensure the timely completion of projects.

  3. Ensuring that all sheet metal fabrication equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.

  8. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implementing these changes as appropriate.

  9. Managing inventory levels and ordering materials as needed to support production.

  10. Ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.

To be successful in this role, a sheet metal fabrication manager should have a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, along with several years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related industry. They should have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment. A sheet metal fabrication manager should also be able to analyze data and make decisions that improve efficiency and productivity while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
