Job Summary:
Our construction team, based in San Jose, CA, is in search of an HVAC/Plumbing Assistant Project Manager with a robust background in commercial HVAC and plumbing projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Construction Management and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Key skills include proficiency in construction management software such as BlueBeam, MS Project, and Procore. Experience overseeing large-scale commercial projects will significantly bolster the candidate's credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring successful completion within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Engage in the design process, providing input to guarantee effective implementation of HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Support accurate project cost estimations and contribute to efficient project planning.
- Utilize software tools (BlueBeam, MS Project, Procore) for project tracking, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure compliance with all project requirements, including timelines, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Facilitate clear communication channels among clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Uphold quality assurance and safety protocols across all project stages.
- Prepare and disseminate detailed project status reports to all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Construction Management.
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial HVAC and plumbing design, estimating, and project management.
- Proficiency in BlueBeam, MS Project, and Procore.
- Demonstrated project management, communication, and organizational capabilities.
- Prior experience with large-scale commercial projects preferred.
- Must be local to San Jose, CA, with a stable work history.
Preferred:
- Project management certification or related qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of current HVAC and plumbing codes and standards.
