Job Title: HVAC/Plumbing Design Engineer
Overview: We are looking for a skilled HVAC/Plumbing Design Engineer to lead and contribute to our engineering projects within the commercial mechanical construction industry. This role involves mentoring a team, preparing design documents, and managing multiple projects from conceptual design through to construction support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler system design.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the design process from conceptual stages through to final design, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with in-house detailing teams during the shop drawing process to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems for commercial construction projects ensuring all designs conform to applicable standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
- Local and stable work history.
