Commercial HVAC/Sheet Metal Foreman – Riverside, CA

Position Overview: The HVAC/Sheet Metal Foreman will lead and manage the on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks at commercial job sites. This role requires thorough knowledge of HVAC systems, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the HVAC and sheet metal installation crew.
Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
Hands-on Work:
Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products and equipment.
Ensure that HVAC systems are installed and functioning correctly.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all safety procedures are followed, and that work is completed safely.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Training and Mentoring:
Train and mentor junior technicians and workers.
Ensure the team knows the latest HVAC and sheet metal techniques and technologies.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
Ensure high-quality standards in all work performed.
Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients.
Report on work progress and any potential issues or delays.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in HVAC and sheet metal work.
5 Years of experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal projects.
Familiarity with Riverside, CA, building codes and regulations.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
