Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled HVAC/Sheet Metal Foreman to lead our projects in Phoenix, AZ. This crucial role involves overseeing and managing the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication for commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent leadership qualities, and a proven track record in sheet metal work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the HVAC and sheet metal crew to ensure efficient operation and project delivery.
- Review and interpret blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
- Perform hands-on fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee the installation and functional testing of HVAC systems, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor strict safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians, enhancing team skills and cohesion.
- Inspect completed projects to ensure they comply with building codes, safety codes, and other regulations.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across project teams, including project managers, contractors, and clients, addressing any project issues or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, resource allocation, and other critical project details.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in HVAC and sheet metal work preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal projects, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
