We're seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent / Project Manager to oversee all aspects of commercial HVAC projects in the San Diego area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of HVAC projects from planning, coordination, scheduling to execution.
  2. Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
  3. Review and supervise work on the job sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  4. Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction and building specialists.
  5. Oversee daily field activities and ensure all work is done in compliance with the codes and safety regulations.
  6. Communicate project progress with stakeholders and report any challenges or issues that arise.
  7. Participate in budgeting, bidding, and job cost management, offering expertise on HVAC system efficiencies and potential cost savings.
  8. Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely execution.
  9. Act as the primary customer contact for project activities, leading project review sessions with clients to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  10. Perform inspections and ensure that corrective actions are taken if necessary.
  11. Coordinate staff training, provide mentorship and ensure team performance meets company's standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial HVAC systems.
  2. Proven track record of managing large scale HVAC projects.
  3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, HVAC systems, and project management principles.
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  5. Strong team leadership abilities.
  6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Knowledge of local HVAC codes and ability to read blueprints.
  8. Proficient in project management software.
  9. EPA Certification preferred.
  10. Valid driver's license.
  11. Ability to travel to various job sites within the San Diego area.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
