Journeyman Industrial Pump Mechanic
We seek a skilled Journeyman Industrial Pump Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to disassemble, inspect, and evaluate the equipment condition using micrometers and dial indicators. They will also be responsible for writing thorough job inspection reports and working on gearboxes, compressors, and other process-rotating equipment. As a Journeyman Industrial Pump Mechanic, you will be crucial in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality service and products.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, inspect, and evaluate the condition of equipment using micrometers and dial indicators
- Write thorough job inspection reports
- Work on gearboxes, compressors, and other process-rotating equipment
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Use all types of mechanics' hand tools
- Utilize presses, torches, and pullers
- Align pumps and motors
- Rebuild mechanical seals
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience in industrial pump mechanic work
- Excellent skills in disassembling, inspecting, and evaluating the condition of equipment using micrometers and dial indicators
- Proficiency in writing thorough job inspection reports
- Strong knowledge of gearboxes, compressors, and other process-rotating equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Experience using all types of mechanics' hand tools
- Knowledge of how to utilize presses, torches, and pullers
- Ability to align pumps and motors
- Knowledge of how to rebuild mechanical seals
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 or more lbs.
Training/Certifications
- Ability to perform laser alignments and take vibration readings preferred.
