Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Honolulu, HI

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled Mechanical Design Engineer for our rapidly growing firm in Honolulu. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on HVAC and commercial plumbing system design.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and development of HVAC and commercial plumbing systems for various projects, using engineering principles and techniques.
2. Proficient use of design software including AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed drawings and plans.
3. Provide engineering support for the execution of projects from concept to completion.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to ensure all project specifications are met.
5. Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress of projects to stakeholders.
6. Develop and manage project budgets while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and regulations.
8. Evaluate mechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is required.
2. 4+ years of experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC design and engineering.
3. Knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
4. EIT or PE certification preferred.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
8. Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
