Job Title: Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Estimator
Location: San Diego, CA
We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Estimator to join our team in San Diego. The successful candidate will bring their expertise in HVAC and plumbing estimating, helping to drive our business forward and deliver excellence to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive HVAC and plumbing estimates for various types of large-scale commercial projects, including schools, hotels, high-rises, labs, and hospitals.
- Use Trimble AutoBid software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing inputs.
- Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to customers, ensuring that all client questions and concerns are addressed.
- Work closely with project management and design teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Collaborate with sales and preconstruction teams to identify potential business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on market conditions, prices, and products.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC and plumbing estimating experience.
- Proven experience estimating large commercial projects including schools, hotels, high-rises, labs, and hospitals.
- Proficiency in Trimble AutoBid software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- Must be local or willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.
