Job Title: Mechanical Prefabrication/Shop Manager

Location: Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

Job Description:

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Prefabrication/Shop Manager to join our team in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in overseeing all aspects of our mechanical fabrication shop operations, including the fabrication of plumbing, piping, and sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the daily operations of the fabrication shop, ensuring a high degree of efficiency and productivity.
2. Oversee a team of fabricators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as necessary.
3. Create, read, and interpret designs and drawings, using CAD, Revit, and Navisworks software.
4. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the operational efficiency and quality of fabricated products.
5. Coordinate with the project management team to understand project requirements and ensure that fabricated products are in alignment with specifications.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
7. Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment, and manage the procurement of supplies as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication.
2. Extensive experience in managing mechanical (plumbing, piping, sheet metal) shop fabrication.
3. Proficient in the use of CAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
6. Must be local to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Stable work history demonstrating longevity with previous employers.
2. Certified in relevant mechanical or fabrication disciplines.
3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
