Key Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited university.
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) license in California is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in CAD and Revit for design and modeling tasks.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing design for commercial projects, particularly in hospitals, schools, and data centers.
A stable work history that reflects professional development and reliability.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop detailed plumbing designs for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, local codes, and industry standards.
Use CAD and Revit for creating design drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for integrated project solutions, including architects and electrical and mechanical engineers.
Participate in project meetings, providing design insights, updates, and recommendations.
Perform load calculations, sizing, and specifications for plumbing systems and components.
Review project requirements and assess materials, manpower, and time needed for completion.
Ensure design documentation is aligned with project goals and client needs.
Contribute to the project bidding process, including preparing design specifications and cost estimates.
