Responsibilities
- Generate accurate and thorough estimates for projects in sectors including life science, healthcare, and medical gas.
- Use AutoBid software for estimating the cost of projects.
- Review plans and architectural drawings; understand the scope of work to bid.
- Track and manage project bid process, and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
- Stay up-to-date with the industry's latest trends and advancements.
- Negotiate and communicate with contractors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing estimation.
- Proven experience in life science, healthcare, and medical gas projects.
- Proficient in using AutoBid or similar estimating software.
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and specifications.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Must be local to the New York City area.
Preferred
- Stable work history demonstrating commitment and professional growth.
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes and standards.
