Job Description: Plumbing/HVAC Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to generate detailed, accurate, competitive estimates for plumbing and HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to gather the necessary information and ensure the project scope and client requirements are aligned.
- Utilize Trimble Autobid or similar OST software to maximize accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
- Provide clear and detailed breakdowns of estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
- Engage in pre-bid reviews, ensuring all aspects of the bid are complete and following company standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, pricing, and product developments to ensure our estimates are both competitive and comprehensive.
- Establish positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and clients, facilitating smooth communication and negotiation processes.
- Participate in post-bid reviews and feedback sessions, aiming for continuous improvement in the estimating process.
Qualifications:
- Residency in or near San Diego, CA, supported by a consistent and commendable work history.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing and HVAC estimating experience.
- Proficiency in using Trimble Autobid or equivalent OST software.
- Thorough understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems, with a sharp eye for detail in analyzing project requirements and potential challenges.
- Exceptional communication skills, facilitating clear dialogues with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
