Job Title: Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager

Location: Honolulu, HI

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managing large-scale commercial projects, particularly in the healthcare, education, hospitality, residential high rises, military, and public works sectors. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of commercial HVAC and Plumbing projects from inception to completion.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  3. Review and understand project specifications, blueprints, and contract documents.
  4. Perform job cost estimating, project scheduling, and contract negotiation.
  5. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and correct quantities.
  6. Monitor project progress, costs, and performance; make necessary changes as needed to meet project objectives.
  7. Coordinate with clients, architects, and construction teams to address any design issues or changes.
  8. Use project management software (MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.) for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting.
  9. Ensure all projects comply with safety and building regulations as well as contractual requirements.
  10. Manage project closeout and obtain all necessary documentation to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience managing commercial HVAC and Plumbing projects.
  2. Proven track record of successful project completion in hospitals, schools, hotels, high rises, military, and public works projects.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  4. Proficient in the use of Bluebeam, MS Project, and other project management software.
  5. Exceptional communication and team management skills.
  6. Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
  7. Competent in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
  8. Must be based in Honolulu, HI.
  9. Stable work history demonstrating reliability and dedication.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of formal education.
