We seek a Senior Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician to join our elite team.
Position Summary:
As a Senior Commercial HVAC Service/Start-Up Technician, you will be a crucial member of our service team. Your role will involve the maintenance, service, and start-up of complex, large-tonnage HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform diagnostic tests, repairs, and maintenance on large-tonnage commercial HVAC systems.
- Take charge of the start-up and commissioning of new HVAC installations, ensuring they operate as designed and comply with customer requirements.
- Provide high-level technical guidance to junior technicians.
- Assist in emergency service calls and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion.
- Document service activities, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with large tonnage commercial HVAC systems, specifically involving chillers, boilers, VRFs, and BAS systems.
- EPA Certification is required.
- A clean driving record is a must.
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school or Associate degree in HVAC highly preferred.
