Position Summary

The Senior Commercial/Industrial HVAC-Piping Project Manager will oversee all aspects of large-scale HVAC and piping projects, from initial bidding to closeout. The role includes managing budgets, schedules, and work crews and ensuring all work is completed under industry standards and regulations. Prior hands-on piping installation experience is essential for this role.

Location

This role is based in our Norfolk, VA office. Candidates must be local, as remote work is unavailable for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee large commercial/industrial HVAC and piping projects from start to finish.
  • Develop and control project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage on-site crews, ensuring all installation work is performed safely and to quality standards.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and expertise in piping installation techniques and problem-solving.
  • Submit regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial/industrial project management specifically focused on HVAC and piping projects.
  • Prior hands-on piping installation experience.
  • Strong budget management and financial acumen.
  • Stable work history demonstrating reliability and consistency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to manage a team.
  • Must be a local candidate residing in or willing to relocate to Norfolk, VA.
