Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Plumbing Technician to oversee and execute the start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of plumbing systems for commercial construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all plumbing installations and services meet or exceed the highest standards from the construction phase through to final verification and closeout. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in plumbing maintenance and service, coupled with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup and troubleshooting of plumbing systems throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
- Conduct pre-functional tests (PFT) and performance verification tests (PVT) to ensure all systems operate according to specifications.
- Manage and lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and oversight to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company values during project execution.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, with a trade school certificate in Plumbing or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of ten years of field experience in plumbing, with a strong focus on maintenance, service, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
- Proven management or leadership experience in overseeing a technical team.
- CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications, with a willingness to undergo further training as needed.
- Preferred:
- Experience in commercial construction projects, with a preference for those with government or military project involvement.
- Valid factory start-up certifications specific to plumbing systems.
- EPA-608 Certification (Refrigerant Recovery), if applicable to plumbing refrigeration tasks.
Travel may be required for project needs. Local candidates are preferred, but consideration will be given to those willing to relocate.
