Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Divisional Manager to lead our team in Honolulu, HI. The successful candidate will be a local professional with a stable work history and a robust background in commercial/industrial sheet metal fabrication, installation, BIM, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the sheet metal division, overseeing fabrication, installation, and BIM teams.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of sheet metal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Project Oversight: Oversee sheet metal projects from fabrication to installation, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- BIM Coordination: Collaborate with the BIM team to ensure accurate modeling and coordination of sheet metal components in projects.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project demands.
- Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all sheet metal activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Work closely with the finance team to establish budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, innovations, and competitive landscapes to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- EIT or PE License (preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial/industrial sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or divisional role.
- Familiarity with BIM processes and coordination.
- Proven track record of successful sheet metal projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Local candidate with a stable work history.
- Familiarity with the nuances of the local construction market in Hawaii.
