Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of sheet metal products.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates.
- Install HVAC systems in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards.
- To ensure a leak-proof installation, fasten seams and joints using rivets, bolts, caulking, soldering, or other means.
- Fabricate and shape metal sheets using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Perform inspections to identify faulty installations or systems requiring repair.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including engineers, designers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all company protocols and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be local to Jacksonville, NC.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial sheet metal installation.
- Demonstrable ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong familiarity with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
