Discipline mix: Process piping + medical gas + high-purity pays a premium over commercial hydronic. Life-science/pharma tops the range.
Weld coordination scope: Managing 15+ welders with active WPQ tracking clears P75. Coordinating pre-fab shop welding without field team caps lower.
Prefab / spool-shop integration: Supers who own the spool-shop hand-off and jobsite install add $8–14k over field-only counterparts.
Certifications: ASME Section IX familiarity, ASSE 6030 medical-gas, and OSHA 30 are table stakes; specific process piping code experience raises the offer.
